RHODES STREET RESERVE
Revocation of its reservation in Rhodes street was approved by the Christchurch City Council last evening and a request will be made for an Order-in-Council declaring the reserve available for sale. Objections were received from the New Zealand Pioneers' and Descendants’ Club, a group of residents in the area, and the Noyth Canterbury Labour Representation Committee. The council has already agreed, subject to the revocation order being gazetted, to sell the reserve to the Rangi-ruru School authorities. A full discussion was held last year.
