REPORTED BRITISH PURCHASE (N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON. Jan. 23. Reuter’s financial editor learns in responsible grain trade quarters that Britain has bought or is about to buy 500,000 tons of wheat from Argentina for shipment before June 30, 1947. The gap in supplies for Britain and the colonies in this half of the year has been 500,000 tons.
