STRANDED SHIP LISTS ON ROCKS.—This stern view of the Wanganella shows the list to starboard developed by the liner since she struck Barrett’s reef, Wellington, on Sunday night. Also shown are the two heavy hawsers run out at the stern and attached to mushroom anchors. In efforts to pull the Wanganella off the reef the pull exerted by the ship’s machinery on these anchors will greatly augment the power of the tugs.

MOBILE UNIT OF THE PLUNKET SOCIETY. —Mothers and children gathered round the Plunket Society’s new mobile unit at St. Albans Park yesterday. Although the mobile unit has been in operation for only a short while, it has proved of great benefit to the district nurses near the suburbs it has visited. The new service helps to relieve the congestion at the society’s clinics, and it. is a convenience to mothers who find it difficult to bring their babies into the city.
