WATERFRONT DISPUTE

COMMISSION ADJOURNS

NO AGREEMENT REACHED (PA.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 24. The Waterfront Industry Commission sat to-day for the first time since December 4, but no progress was made in the settlement of the dispute about the waterfront guaranteed wage and other issues. The commission adjourned sine die. “We had a long session, but we did not reach any agreement.” said the chairman (Mr Justice Ongley) tonight. He said he could not indicate what the next development was likely to be, or how soon the commission would sit again.
