EXPERIMENT AT AUCKLAND (P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 23.

Trials of two-way radio communication between the Auckland Central Fire Station and fire engines are now being held. If the experiments are successful and radio-telephones are installed in Auckland engines it will be possible for fire headquarters to maintain constant touch with engines absent from the station. If the scheme is adopted in Auckland it is expected that all major brigades will install similar equipment. '
