GOVERNMENT PLAN APPROVED MOVE TO HALT WAGE INCREASES LONDON, January 16. The National Joint Advisory Council, represefiting the British Employers’ Federation and the Trade Union Congress, at a conference with the Ministry of Labour, approved the terms of the forthcoming White Paper giving details of a Government plan for greater production and calling for an early halt to all-round wage increases. The “Daily Mail” says that the plan, which is virtually an anti-inflation scheme, emphasises that the time has now been reached when a greater rise in prices might follow any further increases. -
