ARRANGEMENTS AT ‘ GREYMOUTH Arrangements were completed 0 t meeting of the West Coast Horticultural Society for the New Zealand i gladioli display, which will be h«ld at Greymouth this month in conjunction with the Horticultural Society’s annual show. Provision has been made for 116 classes, and large entries from all parts of the Dominion are expected. With the extension of air travel since the war, it is expected that many exhibits wall be flown to Greymoutn from other provinces, and the society has made special arrangement® for the caring of blooms until they are displayed. The New Zealand Gladiolus Society’s Challenge Cup, which will be awarded, is on view in Harley and Company’s window. The present holder is a Timaru Mr W. J. Hogg, who, it is expected, will be a competitor in this year’s display. The show is scheduled to open on . January 29 and close on January 3L |
