BOMBS EXPLODE IN AMMAN
YOUTH ORGANISATION BLAMED . LONDON, Jan. 16. Three bombs exploded in Amman, the capital of Transjordan, late last night, reports the correspondent of the British United Press in Jerusalem. Nobody was hurt. One bomb exploded near a British girls’ school and the other near the Prime Minister’s residence. Members of a subversive youth movement styling itself “Democratic Youth” are believed to be responsible for the explosions. The movement claims that it is' seeking to displace the old regime and “the British puppet.” In Palestine, railway passenger services to Jerusalem will be restored on Monday. The services had been suspended on account of recent acts of terrorism. Early this morning, four shots were fired at a police car in Jerusalem, but there were no casualties. Other messages from Palestine say that sappers armed with mine detectors and helped by police dogs are searching for terrorists near Tel Aviv. Reuter’s correspondent in Jerusalem says two buried mines exploded near Hederah last night, shattering a military underground telephone cable.
