Six alien Apes are coming in, Immigrants for the Wellington Zoo, Six to be housed and six to be fed— What will the Monkeys’ Union do? The Monkeys’ Union will call a Meeting. A Show of Tails by the Light of the Moon; The Monkeys’ Union will carry a Motion And send it on to the Great Baboon. Every Monkey in Chimpanzeeland, Whatever their Colours, Sizes, and Shapes, Must face the Issue.—What’s the Position Of the Federation of Captive Apes? The Federation is calling a Conference AH for the Cause, the Applause is hearty; A Resolution is passed and posted To the Simian Parliamentary Party. The Simian Party is calling a Caucus, Reassuring the Public Mind; Some of the Boys may be Red in Front, But the Great Baboon’s true-blue Behind! The Public stares at the Monkey Houses. What’s gone wrong in the Monkey Huts? What’s the meaning of all this Rumpus? And the Answer, either Way, is—Nuts!
