I How the farmers have been handi- ' capped by rain since September is shown in figures supplied by Mr A. W. Adams. Sheffield. This month the rainfall figures for January 5, 6. 7. 8, and 9 were .42 inches, .35, .02, .25, and 1.31, a total of 2.35 inches, the latter fall coming from the north-west, which was unusual
