VIOLATIONS OF BORDER
CHARGES FILED BY GREECE UNO INVESTIGATION SOUGHT (Rec. 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 4. The Greek ambassador in Washington, Mr Dendramis, has filed with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr Trygve Lie, formal charges of border Violations against Jugoslavia, Bulgaria and Albania and has asked the United Nations to appoint a commission to make an investigation on the spot. The Prime Minister, Mr Tsaldaris, left Paris for New York by air to-day to appeal to the United Nations against “foreign interference” in Greece. Twenty of a garrison df 40 gendarmes were killed last night when 200 guerrillas seized a village near Pripolis in the Arcadia (Kyparissia) region of Peloponneseus, says an official announcement. Most of the reinaindfer were injured but escaped. Reinforcements have been sent to the area. The Associated Press says Government troops are mopping up in the mountains of central Greece where guerrillas have recently been active. Guerrillas derailed two trains in Western Thrace but no one was injured.
