Gaol for Bigamy.— “ln my opinion if the Court does not impose imprisonment it will be weakly giving way to leniency because you are a woman,” said Mr Justice Callan in the Auckland Supreme Court yesterday in sentencing Viola Muriel Smith, aged 32, to two months’ imprisonment for bigamy, which she admitted.
