WHALING SEASON IN ANTARCTIC

According to information from tne whaling centre at Sandefjord, Russia is going to participate in the next whaling season in the Antarctic. A Swedish firm' has delivered several oil separators to the Russian floating epuery Slava, which is believed to be the original CJerman boilery Wikmger. taken last year by Britain and sent.to the Antarctic under the name of the Empire Venture. _ . After a season the Empire Venture was stripped of its boilers and whaling equipment and handed over to Russia as Part of the German reparations payment. , , . . Russia is also reported to be repairing former German whaling Boats.
