INTERNATIONAL FOOD FUND PROPOSAL BY MR LA GUARDIA (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 11. The Director-General of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (Mr F. H. La Guardia) today proposed an international food fund of £100.000.000 to take the place of UNRRA, which will shortly be disbanded. He proposed that this fund should be administered by the United Nations Organisation. Mr La Guardia said that he had discussed the matter with Mr Stalin, who had expressed the opinion that the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration should continue through 1947. but he thought that Russia would probably support his alternative.
