OFF THE MAP?
Sir—Kaiapoi is off the map again. It takes four days for a letter to arrive from Dunedin, four hours to get a telephone call through to. Christchurch, and at least four trips down the garden to see if the post boy has arrived, as he has lost the pea of his whistle. As for seeing a doctor, well you just cannot. —Yours, etc., y R.- FRANCIS JOYCE. Kaiapoi, October 30, 1946.
