ELECTION OF OFFICERS The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Music Festival Committee, at which the Mayor (Mr E. H Andrews) presided:—president, Mr Andrews; vice-presidents, Madam Gower Burns, Dr. J. C. Bradshaw, Dr. J. Hight, Mr Justice Archer, Mr L. C. Travers; chairman. Mr J. L. Hay; honorary secretary, Mr L. F. de Berry; honorary treasurer. Mr J. W. Niven; assistant-honorary treasurer. Mr R. C. Stone; executive, Dr. Vernon Griffiths, Mr C. Foster Browne, Messsrs W. G. Tonks. A. M. Hollander, J. F. Skedden. and V. C. Peters; general committee (exclusive of executive). Messrs W. H. Down, H. S. Hobbs, G. G. Newson, A. L. Sutton, D. J. Hewitt, E.'Empson, T. M. Charters, and Mrs N. Sherris and Miss M. Tait.
