Hudson, won the Wellington provincial women’s golf championship at Heretaunga by beating Miss C. Smith (Invercargill), 2 and 1, in a hard-fought match. A large gallery in the afternoon saw some stirring golf. Miss Hudson was slamming her wood shots further than those of the average man. With her wrists always in front of the club-head she hit a tremendous drive at the fourth hole and was through the back of the green with an easily hit No. 6 iron. Again, at the eleventh, after a long drive, she carried the green with an iron.
