ITALIAN WORKERS FOR FRANCE
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 1. Negotiations for the entry of more Italian workers to France are proceeding between Paris and Rome. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that several thousand Italian miners have already arrived and workers for other industries are expected to follow. As part of the arrangement, it is understood that France will forgo her right under the peace treaty to seize the property of Italian nationals in France. Italy will then constitute a fund from which her workers in France will draw to support their families who have remainea in Italy. Hie French Minister of Population (Mr Tanguy-Prigent) recently said that France needed more than 1,000,000 extra workers to rebuild her economy.
