ARMED CLASHES IN GREECE

VILLAGERS FIGHT BANDITS

(Rec. 7 p.m.) ATHENS, October 29. The Mayor and three villagers were killed when inhabitants of Anargyri, in Western Macedonia, joined with Greek soldiers against bandits, 47 of whom were killed.

Thirteen bandits were killed in clashes in three other villages in the same region.
