British Warships* Movements COMPLAINT TO UNO (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 1.30 a.m.) BELGRADE, Oct. 30. The Jugoslav News Agency says that the Albanian Prime Minister, General Enver Hoxha, cabled Mr Trygve Lie, the .Secretary-General of the United Nations, emphatically pro? testing against an unauthorised penetration by British warships into Albanian waters. The cable said that four British warships entered Albanian waters at 1 p.m. on October 22 north of the port of Saranda. It asserted that they were attempting to provoke incidents and were violating Albanian sovereignty. On the same day and on the succeeding day several three-engined British aeroplanes flew over Albanian territory without authorisation with the object of intipndation and provpcauon. Two other British aeroplanes circled low pver Saranda. The Albanian Government demanded intervention by the SecretaryGenpral of the United Natiqns to’ put an end to such provocations. General Hoxha also alleged that Greek “monarchists and Fascists” were provoking incidents on Albania’? southern froqtier. Reuters points out that the destroyer? Saumarez and yolage struck mines ip t|ie Corfu Channel on October 32—the day mentioned by General Hoxha. Saranda lies at the northern end of the Corfu Channel.
