LADY GALWAY GUILD The Lady Galway Patriotic Guild, which was established in the Dominion in 1940 by Lady Galway to supply clothing to the people’ of Allied countries over-run by the enemy, will terminate its activities as from December 31, 1946. This decision was reached at a meeting of the guild executive committee held at Government House, Wellington, .this month. The executive decided to close the guild in view of information received from the Women’s Voluntary Services in England, which indicated that, the needs to meet which the guild was formed no longer existed.
