HERITAGE MEMBERSHIP INCREASED
Twenty-five new members had been enrolled, bringing the total to 885, which included 170 life members, reported the secretary at the last monthly meeting of the executive of Heritage (Canterbury). It was announced that Dr. O. C. Mazengarb, of the Dominion executive of Heritage. Wellington, had accepted the committee’s invitation to speak at the annual meeting of the Canterbury branch. The health and recreation committee reported that a member had offered hospitality for two children for a holiday at New Brighton, or launch trips at Lyttelton. Arrangements were now being made for summer holidays for children, and the distribution of Christmas presents. Gifts received during the month amounted to more than £7O. still possible to plant flowering shrubs, azaleas, hydrangeas, coloured brooms, camellias, rosemary, viburnums, ericas, are some that stand late shifting; as also do abutilons, fuchsias, flowering gums, and aoma climbing jpiwnfe
