TO-DAY’S PROSPECTS - The Press ” Special Service AUCKLAND, September 20. The first totalisator meeting of the 1946-47 season for the North .Island ""will be held at Epsom to-morrow. The fields are of useful size, and include a few southern horses, of which Gamble King and Lucky Loyal are well fancied for their respective engagements. The weather is fine and the track, if no rain falls overnight, will be in good order. Horses most in favour may be:— 11 a.m.—lntroductory Handicap: Kiatoa, Keen Blade, Belworth. 11.45 a.m.—First Improvers’ Handicap: Laurie Bingen, Dan’s Triumph, Indian Star. 12.35 p.m.—United Handicap: Caledonian Gold, Gold Strand, Red Ace. 1.25 pan.—September Handicap: Bonnie Jack, Gamble King, Heliopolis. 2.15 p.m.—Second Improvers’ Handicap: Marshall Ney, Auto Era, Tiny Tot. 3.5 p.m.—Royal Oak Handicap: Ena Parrish, Little Hero, High Pressure. 3.55 p.m.—Orakei Handicap: Single Direct, Jackalette, Cold Steel. 4.45 p.m.—Takanini Handicap; Great Belwin, Lucky Loyal, Double Peter. The following horses will be bracketed:—lntroductory Handicap: Peter Abbey, Oval’s Pride, Etta Girl, and Pardon Me. September Handicap: Bonnie Jack and Dillala; Bonny Ax worth and Heliopolis; Brass Buttons, Dunkirk, and Diamond Trust. Royal Oak Handicap: Pardon Me and Cossack. Orakei Handicap: Jackalette and Captain Gaillard. Brass Buttons was scratched at 2.50 p.m. yesterday for the September Handicap, and there is some doubt about Single Direct starting in the Orakei Handicap.
