Drinking Habits in Kalgoorlie
. Drinking habits of Western Australian mining towns were mentioned by Mr A. R. Cutler, the High Commissioner for Australia, in a talk te the Christchurch Rotary Club yesterday. T. arrived in Kalgoorlie one Sur day morning and found the bars ’oing an excellent trade” Mr Cutler said. "I told one of the miners that I thought the bars were supposed to be closed on Sundays. He replied: 'Our last serSeant of police had the same idea, but es not with us any longer’.”
