STOCK SALES RANGIORA No cattle were offered at the weekly Rangiora stock market yesterday, but there were fair yardings in the other sections. Prices were as follows; Sheep.—Ewes and lambs, 15s lid to 19s; hoggets, 31s. Pigs.—Weaners, to 295; slips, to 48s. TINWALD The smallest yarding for some weeks was entered at the Tinwald stock sale yesterday. Prices for prime quality lines were slightly in advance of last week’s values, while other prices were firm at late rates. Fat ewes brought up to 20s for lightweights, up to 24s for medium grade, up to 27s 6d for good quality, and up to 34s 4d for prime heavy quality. E. C. and H. White (Eiffel ton) sold five at this price. Wethers realised up to 34s for lightweights, up to 37s for medium lines, up to 39s 6d for good quality, and up to 46s 7d for prime heavy-weights. The estate °£ S'. Hood (Mount Somers) sold five at this price. Fat cows brought from £5 17s 6d to £9 17s 6d, and dairy cows sold at £l2 10s (third calver), £l2 5s (second calver), and £8 10s (fifth calver).
