The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate variable winds, southwestern es predominating. Weather clcudy, with occasional showers developing from the south. Temperatures moderate.

CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather was fine and sunny yesterday with a light south-west wind in the morning and a light north-easterly later m the day. The maximum temperature was 56.9 degrees.
