TRUCK SHORTAGE YESTERDAY
OVERTIME CURTAILED A shortage of railway trucks at Lyttelton prevented ships with cargo for discharge from working after 5 p.m. yesterday. The ships affected were the overseas vessels Pipiriki, Brisbane Star, and Fort Livingstone, and the coastal vessels Gale and Wainui. The coastal vessel Storm was unable to work at all yesterday because of the shortage of railway waggons.
