SNOOKER

NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP Arrangements made for the 1946 New Zealand amateur snooker championship, which will begin in Christchurch to-day, provide for the restriction of the entry to the best 12 players. The games will be the best three out of five, and they win be played under the two-life system. Two sessions will be played daily, afternoon and evening. The Mayor of Christchurch (Mr E. H. Andrews) will open the tournament at* the Radiant Theatre this afternoon.
