THE MERIVALE BAKERY

Sir,—l am 100 per cent, with “H.M.G.” and all the others who have written commending Mr Platt for continuing to run his bakery in spite of what certainly looked like intimidation at one stage. If women would only unite they could settle this bread scandal in a week. Mr Platt and his employees can at least be assured of tremendous backing, in * case of any further showdown; and perhaps his stand will eventually prove to be the forerunner of a big change in these matters, as the “mills” of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceeding small.—Yours, etc., ’ BAKE YOUR OWN.
