DALADIER REVERTS TO MUNICH
POLICY DEFENDED IN FRENCH ASSEMBLY LONDON, July 18. Mr Edouard Daladier, the fbrmfer Prime Minister of France, speakihg ih the French Assembly in a hardhitting defence bf his policy as Prime Minister in the days of Munich, bitterly attacked Russifen afctibns, feccording to agency correspondents iri Pans. Mr Daladier, whose right to Sit in the Assembly was unsuccessfully challenged by the Communists because of his polity, said:. “I have been called ‘the traitor of Munich’ and ‘the man who sold France to Hitler.’ If I let these attacks go unanswered I should be a coward. I shall answer the attack oh every point. Speaking for more than three hours, Mr Daladier defended his actions from 1938 to 1940 in detail. He brought deputies to their feet cheeripg when hfe declared that Britain and America “bore the weight of fhe War and saved the liberty of the world.”
