ARRESTS IN UNITED PROVINCES
CURFEW IMPOSED AT BAREILLY
(Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW DELHI, May 27. A curfew has been imposed in Bareilly to curb Hindu and Moslem fighting. Seven persons were’ killed and 176 have been arrested.
At Allahabad three persons were killed and 100 arrested. “Four persons were killed and more than 50 injured in Hindu and Moslem riots at the week-end,” said the Associated Press correspondent at Bareilly in an earlier message. “It is also reported that 30 persons were injured at Allahabad in a riot at the Central Ordnance Depot. A fight began when some Moslems continued to work during a strike. “One person was killed and a number were injured in communal riots at Aurangabad.”
