DAMAGES OF £300 AWARDED

JUDGMENT FOR DIVORCE x PETITIONER (P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 24. Damages of £3OO were awarded to John William Morrison, a grocer, by a jury in the Supreme Court to-day at the conclusion of the divorce petition in which Morrison alleged the adultery of his wife, Agnes Ruby Morrison,. with Thomas Payne, a machinist. Evidence was given that while the petitioner wds overseas with the„Air Force, the co-respondent left his own wife and lived as a boarder with Mrs Morrison. The petitioner claimed £5OO damages. Mr Justice Cornish granted a decree nisi with costs against the respondent, and entered judgment for £3OO, the question of the custody of the two children being reserved for later argument.
