SOUTH BRIGHTON BUS SERVICE

Sir, —The news of the Christchurch Tramway Board’s decision to run a fast bus service to South Brighton via Breeze’s road is the best the users of the present inadequate service have ever had. When the tramway bus service is operating, one of the best prospective residential areas of Christchurch will be opened for building. The unique views obtained from the land bordering on the Estuary make it very hard to understand why it has not been built on before, until one considers the difficulty of workers getting from South Brighton to the city. I would like to congratulate the Tramway Board on its decision and hope it is hot long before a modern bus service is in operation to South Brighton.—Yours etc „ • ESTUARY ROAD. May 8, 1948.
