STRICT RATIONING IN N.Z. SUGGESTED

(PA.) AUCKLAND. May 6. The hope that in an effort to save millions from starvation, disease and death, the Government would impose strict rationing was expressed by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland (Bishop Liston) in an address in the Epsom parish church yesterday. If this were done, he said, he would urge parishioners to accept that just ana wise decision willingly. “Generous sharing, forgiveness and kind thoughts are needed to build our world—not hatred, revenge and socalled retributive justice. Bishop Liston said. “If Europe. India. China and Japan are allowed to become slum of tens of millions of people without proper food, medicines clothin" and shelter in towns and cities of ruins wo shall right! v be judged inhuman and guilty of atrocities.”
