UNRRA WORK IN CHINA
14 MORE NEW ZEALANDERS ON THEIR WAY
Fourteen New Zealanders are now on their way to China, by way of Sydney, to serve with the UNRRA organisation. When they arrive, there w’ill be 22 New Zealanders engaged in the administration’s big programme in China. Mr V. W. Grace (Wellington), railway track specialist; Mr B. H. Young (Wellington), telegraphic traffic adviser; Mr J. B. Hopkins (Auckland), administrative field officer: Mr E. C. Wroughton-Hassall (Wellington), assistant port manager; and Miss Joan Young (Wellington), secretarial stan, have already left Australia by air for Shanghai. Dr. W. J. Wells (Wellington) and Dr. W. R. McKechnie (Dunedin), and Mr A. J. Shackleton (Gisborne), electrical power distribution engineer, are in Sydney preparing for an early departure. „ The other six are due in Syanej this week. They are Mr R. L. Challis (Wellington), regional finance officer: Mr W. Huse (Stratford), agricultural rehabilitation officer: Misses S. A McLaren. K. Robinson. L. Tomsett. and H. Fenwick (all of Wellington), secretarial work.
