In the Supreme Court to-day, Edward Bonner Cdllins was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment, to be served concurrently, oh each of five charges of false pretences in respect of money obtained for tyres that were never delivered. In sentencing Collins, Mr Justice Kernnedy said that the transactions had been bogus jn- every way Collins had a long record, of dishonesty, and 20 years ago was declared a habitual criminal; but time and again he returned |.p preying oqtoe public.
