JUNIOR AND WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS FOUR RECORDS BROKEN AND TWO EQUALLED (P.A.) DUNEDIN, March 8. Four records were broken and two more were equalled at the New Zealand junior and women’s athletic championships held here to-day. B. Singe (Auckland), with a throw of 109 ft 6in in the women’s discus throw, beat the record by Ift 2jin. T. Ebbett (Wellington) won the mile walk in 7min 7 3-ssec, clipping 6 3-ssec off the record. . D. Dephoff (Canterbury) beat the junior broad jump record by 2Jin, and K. Forsythe (Hawke’s Bay) beat the same record by three-quarters of an inch. In the 220 yards junior, K. Forsyth bettered the record of one-fifth of a second, and K. Plunkett (Canterbury) reduced it by a further 2-ssec. Miss N. Gourlay (Canterbury) equalled her own record of l-ssec in the 80 melres hurdles, and Miss I. J. Hunt (Auckland) and Miss R.
