OBITUARY

4 MR D. M. SPEDDING (P.A.) DUNEDIN, March 4. The death occurred to-day of Mr Douglas M. Spedding, treasurer of the Otago Rugby Football Union, and a prominent member and official of the Pirates Football Club, of which he had been president for some years. For the last 19 years, he was a member of the management committee of the Otago Rugby Union, and treasurer for the last 15 years of that period. The year before last he was president of the New Zealand Rugby Union and was a member of the council of the New Zealand Union.

Mr Spedding was an old boy of Otago Boys High School which he attended from 1899 to 19Q1. He was in business- as a land and estate agent
