PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Dog Registration Fees for the County of Cheviot for the year 1946 are now due and payable at the County Office, Cheviot. The Registration Fee for each dog has been fixed at Two Shillings and Six Pence (2/6), and, in accordance with "The Dog Registration Amendment Act, 1937,” an additional charge of One Shilling (1/-) will be made for each dog registered, for the supply of the remedy for the prevention of hydatids disease. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Mount Herbert County Council held on Friday, the first day of February, 1946, IT WAS RESOLVED (by way of Special Order) that the Mount Herbert County Council make a By-law under “The Counties Act, 1920," “The Health Act, 1920," and “The Public Works Act. 1928,” to be styled "Building, Plumbing, and Drainage, Eating Houses and Prevention of Contamination of Food By-law, 1946,” which By-law provides regulations governing the construction and erection of all buildings and other erections hereafter to be constructed in the County and requires Permits to be obtained from the Council before any of such buildings or erections are commenced and also regulates the keeping of Eating Houses and the licensing of premises where food is manufactured, prepared, stored, or kept for delivery and further the adoption by the Mount Herbert County Council of the Regulations under "The Health Act, 1920.” of the 3rd September, 1923, and all amendments thereof. The said By-law provides penalties for any infringement thereof The said By-law will be submitted for Confirmation at a Meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the Bth March, 1946. at the Council’s Office at Purau. A copy of the proposed Special Order and By-law, together with the Regulations under the Health Act which under the proposed Special Order are to form part of and to be read with the abovenamed By-law are deposited at the office of the Council, No. 90 Hereford street, Christchurch, c/o C.
