EDGEWARE WINS PAIRS Edgeware won the Canterbury Bowling Centre’s pairs championship on Saturday. beating Canterbury in the final by 21 points to 15. „ In the semi-finals. Edgeware (P. G. Martin and G. Williams) beat Sydenham (T. Simpson and R. Henry). 21-16: and Canterbury (P J Gaffney and J. Turpin) beat Kaiapoi Working Men’s Club (C. Roberts and S. Robson). 26-12. The final was a game of accurate drawing and produced some fine bowling. Martin and Williams also won the title last year, beating the same team as they did on Saturday. This is the first occasion on which a team has won the title in successive years. SPREYDON CLUB The championship fours title of the Spreydon Bowling Club was won by J. Saunders. J. Clarkson, A. Cross, and J. Howartson (s.). who were unbeaten. The colts’ competition was won by W. A. Whitmore. R.S.A. CLUB
The final of the fours championship o? the R S.A. Bowling Club was won by H. Roberts. W. Pate’ son, - A. E. Seymour, and C. Spearman (s.).
