VOLUNTEER FORCE FOR JAPAN

UNITS CHOSEN TO t TRAIN AT BURNHAM*

Infantry, artillery, Army Service Corps, and medical personnel for Japan Force; 2nd N.Z.E.F., will begin training at Burnham Military Camp early next month. Southern Military District Headquarters has been advised that one of the three infantry battalions in the force will be trained at Burnham, and the other two will be stationed at Papakura. All'South Island men of the volunteer force will go originally to Burnthose who are to train at Papakura and Trentham will be posted ttfere later. Meh on the staff of force-headquarters will be among the personnel, trained in the North Island. Signallers and the. cipher section will be posted to the Army School of Instruction, Trentham. As soon as the South Island men are assembled at Burnham, their trade and Army qualifications will be put before a selection bogrd.
