UNITY CELEBRATION DEVELOPMENT (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CHUNGKING, February 11. A mass meeting of all political parties celebrating the success of the recent. Chinese unity conference broke up in a bloody riot in which were seriously injured by blackjacks and stones. Kuomintang secret service men started the riot over the question of electing a chairman. Members of the secret service are alleged to have attempted to force an election. Members of the Kuomintang then rushed the delegates swinging blackjacks. The Democratic League, China’s “Third Party,” is a coalition of minority elements which are opposed to both the Kuomintang and the Communists.
