A sensational accident oSurred in the Hillersden Trot in wMch the leader, Maryland, collapsed and died, and in falling brought down Ben Doo and Stammel. The latter subsequently completed the course for third money. The totalisator handled £9727, compared with £6264 10s on the second day of the last two-day meeting in 1941.
