ST. JOHN AMBULANCE Although the membership had decreased a little, due to transfers, the enthusiasm and activities of members had been maintained, said the report of the superintendent (Mr A. Rimmer) at the annual meeting of the Lyttelton Railway division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, held last night. Mr W. Miller presided over a moderate attendance. The report also stated that 500 cases had been treated at the division’s firstaid room, and 80 cases had been treated at the hut at Corsair Bay this season. The division had sustained a great loss in the death of the divisional surgeon. Dr. B. H. Gilmour.
The following officers were elected:— patron, Mr D. S. Broughton; president, Mr A. Dyne: vice-presidents, Messrs. J. T. Norton, T. L. Young, W. T. Lindsay, J. Souter, W. T. Lester, G. Briggs, T. H. McCombs, M.P., Mrs M. Morse; auditor, Mr C. A. Walker.
