USE OF NEW-TYPE GRAIN SACKS
The secretary of the Grain Merchants’ Association (Mr L E. Owen) stated yesterday that a paragraph on the farming page of “The Press” on Saturday morning concerning the size of grain sacks to be used for heavy grain was incorrect. He emphasised that any grain or seeds exceeding 451 b to the bushel must be packed in the new type of sack, 46in by 23in The use of any other sack for such grain would involve them in extra expense and trouble.

Slab Hut Creek;—Slab Hut Creek Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., for the week ended February 9, recovered 31oz from 17,000 yards in 114 hours.
