CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was unpleasant, with rain and a strong north-easterly wind. Early in the afternoon there w r ere sharp showers. - At 1 a.m. the sky was cloudy and there was a light south-westeriy wind. The barometer at 29.45 inches (997.3 millibars) was steady.
