PLAN TO REPATRIATE JAPANESE
AMERICA MAY LEND SHIPS (Rec. 8.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 6. The United States, according to the New York “Herald-Tribune’s” Tokyo correspondent, will lend Japan 100 Liberty ships and 100 L.S.T.’s for the repatriation of Japanese servicemen and civilians from Asia and the Pacific. The Japanese will man the ships.
