MINOR FIRES
Slight damage was caused to the contents of a house at 207 Hills road, Shirley, owned czxd occupied by Mr W. Dawson, when a fire broke out on Monday. The rear of the building was also damaged. The Christchurch Central Fire Brigade answered a call at 11.42 a.m. and experienced no difficulty in extinguishing the flames. At 239 p.m. a grass fire broke out in a section behind 36 Aberdeen street. No damage was caused and the brigade had no difficulty. _____
