Parents’ Duty to School Parents had a duty towards the school of their boys, and there was a tendency in some homes to do too much for the children, said Mr J. B. Mawson, rector of St. Andrew’s College, at the annual prize-giving ceremony of the college yesterday. He found that some boys lacked a sense of property, and concluded that there was a deficiency in the home trainingof the children. Parents could do a lot if they ensured that a boy earned anything he wanted, he said, and a boy’s loyalty to his school should not be interfered with in the home.
