Auckland yacht clubs were unanimous in their decision, expressed at a meeting of the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association to-night, that it will be impossible to hold races for the world 18-foot yacht championship In Auckland this season. One of the reasons put forward was the uncertainty and Uiffiruitv oi shipping to bring competitors from oversens. The association agreed, at the request of the committee which controlled the 1839 contest, to take charge ofi future fixtures, and will endeavour to hold the next contest in the summer of 1947.
